FELSKE, Jamie Allen
Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke on Friday, October 28, 2005 at the age of 32 years.

 

Jamie Felske of 662 Roy Street, Pembroke, dearly loved son of Terry and Florence Felske (nee Lewis).  Dear brother of Stacey Felske (wife Debra), Pembroke.  Cherished uncle to Ryan and Kira.  Grandson to Anita and the late Allen Felske,  and Margaret and the late Lorne Lewis.

 Cremation has taken place.  Memorial visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Tuesday November 1st, from 10 to 11 a.m. followed by a service in the Chapel at 11 a.m.  Interment in Zion Lutheran Cemetery.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations to Community Living, Pembroke Branch would be appreciated).

 

SILKE, Gordon Elmer
Passed away in Marianhill, Pembroke on Saturday, October 22nd, 2005 in his 78th year, after a lengthy illness with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

 
Gordon Silke, of Petawawa, Beloved husband of Annette Silke (nee Hoffman). Dear father of Jim Silkie (Kim) of Pembroke, Leona Moreau (Allan) of Stittsville, Kirk Silkie (Angela) of Arnprior, and Karen LaPierre (Gareth) of Petawawa. Predeceased by a son Donald.  Survived by his daughter-in-law Angela Silkie. Dearly loved Grandfather to Tyler, Corey, Kaitlin, Michael, Connor, Amber, Kristen, Bradley, and Jessie.  Brother of Alfred Silke (Lila) of Petawawa and Florence Hubert of Burritts Rapids, ON.  Predeceased by Parents John and Martha Silke (nee Leeder), sisters Clara Teschner, Ida Paquette, Amanda Schultze, Frieda Tokio, and Ella Connelly and by brothers John Jr., Robert, Ernest and Carl.  Mr. Silke is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Sunny to her R.A.F. friends and ever-loving wife and best friend to Walter McRae Inglis.  Dear mother of Malcolm of Vancouver;  Kathleen Cooper (husband Jim), Kanata; and David of Winnipeg.  Grandmother to Christopher Cooper, Kanata; Stephen Cooper, Ottawa; and Tricia Cooper, Stittsville.  Great-grandmother to little bundle of joy Jack McRae Cooper (Stephen Cooper and Shelly Hickson).  Sadly we will miss Kathleen's open heart, open arms, and big smile.  Kathleen has knocked on his door many times; this time our Lord opened the door, and taking Kathleen by the hand, led her into His Heavenly Kingdom, leaving all her pain and suffering behind, and giving her the peace she was promised.  What Kathleen leaves behind will be cremated and given back to the earth in Calvin United/First Presbyterian Cemetery, Pembroke.
 
Memorial Visitation will be held at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, l4l Renfrew Street, Pembroke on Saturday, October 22nd from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a service celebrating Kathleen's life in the Chapel at 11 a.m.  A reception will follow at Hamilton Hall.  (As an expression of sympathy, donations in memory of Kathleen to the Canadian Cancer Society Volunteer Patient Drivers, or the Ontario Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated).
 

DOYON, Darryl Joseph John
Peacefully in hospital, Pembroke after a courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 19, 2005 at the age of 35 years.

Darryl Doyon of Pembroke and formerly of Kirkland lake, dearly loved son of John and Julia Doyon (nee Krachuk). Dear grandson to Joan and the late Joseph Krachuk, Kirkland Lake; and the late Paul and Jeanne Doyon. Darryl will be deeply missed by his guardian angel and soulmate Kimberly Radke and his "second mother" Ivy Bender. Also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins. Darryl's feline Brandy will miss her friend and companion.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial prayers will be held in the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Chapel, Pembroke on Tuesday, October 25th at 10 a.m. (As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated).

Passed away peacefully in the Pembroke Regional Hospital, surrounded by the love of his family, on Tuesday, October 18th, 2005 at the age of 76 years.

Percy Mielke of 454 Biesenthal Rd., Pembroke, beloved husband of Doreen Mielke (nee Coulas). Loving father of Sandra Bigras (husband Andre), and Brian Mielke (wife Karen). Dear grandfather of Scott Bigras (wife Jennifer), Lisa Boudreau (husband Daniel), Melanie, Neil and Krista Mielke. Great-grandfather to Xavier Bigras and Jean-Philip Boudreau. Son of the late Alexander and Anna Mielke (nee Fischer). Brother to Willard Mielke (wife Frances), and Shirley Cliche (husband Peter). Predeceased by brothers Clayton and Elroy, and sisters Mildred and Hilda.

Passed away peacefully at her home in Surrey, B.C. on Sunday, October 16, 2005 in her 43rd year.

Ina Nagle formerly of Pembroke, she is survived by her beloved children Nathan & Tamara-Lee and their father Peter Sernoskie, all of Pembroke. Dearly loved sister to Katherine Townsend (Neil); Oran Byron Nagle (Carolin); Sheila Karrandjes (Glen); Shelley Borean; Barbara Nagle; and Ian Nagle (Shelley). Daughter of the late Oran Sr. and Inez Nagle (nee Hovey). She is survived also by her many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and a large extended family.

Mabel Hampel (nee Hein) of Pembroke wife of the late Gustave Hampel.  Dear mother of Ilean Cruise (husband Allan), Renfrew.  Predeceased by daughters Marjorie Demers (husband Don), Mary Ann Hampel and sons Gerald, Ronald, Donald and son-in-law Ray Schruder.  Grandmother to Penny Stalkie (husband Paul); Michele O'Callaghan (husband Dean); Angela Smart (husband James); Nicole Schruder; Eugene Hampel (wife Tammy); Danny Hampel and Jessie Hampel.  Also survived by her 12 great-grandchildren.  Daughter of the late William & Martha Hein (nee Boldt).  Sister of Leslie Hein (late wife Christa) and Helen Weisenberg (late husband Eddie).  Predeceased by sister Lydia Risto.

Harold Millar of Supples Landing Pembroke dearly loved husband of Cecilia Millar (nee Mackie).  Son of the late Joseph and Ella Millar (nee Siegel).  Brother of Lillian Whitmore (late husband Errol), Pembroke.  Predeceased by brother Herbert Millar and sister Beulah Legault.  Survived by nephews Ronald Millar (Lynne), Stittsville;  David Whitmore (Sylvia), Pembroke and Joseph Legault, Arlington, Virginia, USA.

Passed away in the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 15th, 2005 in his 85th year.

Edward Hughes of Petawawa, beloved husband of the late Lois Hughes (nee LeCompte). Dear father of Joan Boucher (husband Eli), Ottawa. Predeceased by son Edward L. Hughes. Grandfather to Eli, Colin, Shane, John, Elizabeth, and Kendall. Also survived by 5 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Joseph & Rose Hughes. Predeceased by sister Emily McCaffrey.

Ines Chevalier (nee Severin), resident of the Country Haven Retirement Home and formerly of R. R. # 1, Beachburg, wife of the late Israel Chevalier.  Dear mother of Maurice Chevalier (wife Marion), Beachburg; Marlene Bougie (husband Edward), Parksville, B.C.; Daryl Chevalier (wife Myrtle), Palmerston; David Chevalier (wife Betty), Beachburg; Donald Chevalier (wife Lori), Pembroke; and Michael Chevalier, Cobden.  Gramma to 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.  Daughter of the late Andrew and Elizabeth Severin (nee Robinson).  Predeceased by brothers Leslie, Kenneth, Eldrid, Keith, Vernon and Harold Severin.

R. # 3, Pembroke, wife of the late William Lemke.  Predeceased by son Clarence Lemke (1991) and grandson Carey (1994).  Mother-in-law to Irene Primeau (husband Jerry), R. R. # 3, Pembroke.  Granny to Brian, Dwight and Christine; and great- granny to Erik, Jessica and Alexander.  Daughter of the late Daniel and Amilia Groehl (nee Schufirstein).  Predeceased by 13 brothers and sisters.  Survived by several nieces and nephews.

Maynard Silke of RR #3 Cobden,  husband of the late Agnes Silke (nee Neuman).  Son of the late William and Anna Silke (nee Patzwald).  Brother of Erna Rowe (husband late Lloyd), Pembroke.  Predeceased by sisters Elsie Burger (husband late Fred); Hilda Bunke (husband late William); and brothers Edward Silke (wife late Dorothy), and Garnet Silke (wife late Lillian).  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Paul Edward Hanna, 22, a third year student at Sir Sandford Fleming College Lindsay Campus, suddenly on Monday, October 3rd at his residence in Lindsay.  He recently completed his Environmental Technician diploma with Honours.  Paul Hanna, of 38 Heritage Drive, Petawawa, dearly loved son of Bruce Hanna and Hilda Young, dear brother of Jocelyn Hanna, Red Deer, Alberta.  Nephew of John Young, Toronto. Survived by several great aunts, uncles and cousins in Ontario, Quebec and Norway.
 
Paul grew up in Pinawa, Manitoba, learning to love the outdoors.  In his early years he played hockey, golf and curled.  He received his Chief Scout award and continued to participate in the scouting movement as a Junior Beaver leader.  In 2001 Paul moved to Petawawa, where he completed high school, participating in curling, concert band and badminton.  He was an active member of St. George's Chapel, CFB Petawawa and was confirmed in 2002.  Paul was active in the Chapel youth group as a member and a leader, he held office on the chapel committee and played centre field for the Saints softball team.  Paul will be greatly missed by friends and relatives.
 
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Malcolm, Deavitt & Binhammer Funeral Home, 141 Renfrew Street, Pembroke.  Funeral Service will be held on Friday October 7th at 11 a.m. in St. George's Chapel, CFB Petawawa.  (Donations in Paul's memory can be made to Scouts Canada, Baseline Road, Ottawa or a local environmental charity and may be made at the funeral home or at www.malcolmanddeavitt.com).

Passed away suddenly at his home on Monday, October 3rd, 2005 in his 59th year.

Arnold Ward of Pembroke beloved husband of Mary-Ellen and by first marriage Lois Cail. Father of David Ward (Julie), Orillia and Stephen Ward (Kim), London. Step-father of Randy Crane of Pembroke. He will be missed by his "special daughter" Nora Thielemann and her children. Grandfather of Codille & Keawna; and Amanda & Adam. Son of the late Robert & Laura Ward. Brother of Everett, Jean, Fremona, Wilbert, Dolly, Barnes, Alfred, Ethel, and Horace. Survived by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one nephew Robert Dament. He will also be missed by Mary-Ellen's family and their many friends.

Sister of Eileen Ripley (husband Robert), Fenwick, N.S.; Barbara Speight (late Bill), Trenton; and Donald Northrup, St. Thomas. Predeceased by brother Bruce Northrup and sister Patricia Saikaley. Survived by several nieces and nephews.
