Passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Friday, October 27th, 2006 at the age of 66 years.

 
Wilfred Lair of Pembroke beloved husband of Violet Lair (nee Scheuneman). Dearly loved father to Christine McMillan (Ron) and Steven Lair, all of Pembroke. Loving grandfather to Brian & Sarah McMillan and Bradley Lair. Brother of Joe Lair (Leona), Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by sisters Lillian, Evangeline, Aline, Angemay, Rose, Lucille, Antoinette and brothers Emil, Clairdent, and Omer.

Passed away suddenly at his home on Sunday, October 29, 2006 at the age of 62 years.

 
Garry Rabishaw of RR#3 Pembroke beloved husband of Judy Rabishaw (nee Kutschke).  Dearly loved father of Tammy Limlaw (husband Mark), Cobden and Derek Rabishaw, Pembroke.  Brother of Murray Rabishaw (Noreen), Guelph; Faye Pringle (Terry), Pembroke; and Brian Rabishaw (Arlene), Guelph. Predeceased by sister Iona Hache.  Son of Lorretta Rabishaw and the late Eugene Rabishaw.  Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

R. # 5, Pembroke, dearly loved and cherished daughter of Glenn and Kathy Tabbert (nee Chapeskie).  Dear sister of Nickolas (Julia Fischer), Stephanie and Andrew.  Special friend of Daniel Prins.  Loving granddaughter of Gerald and Lois Tabbert, and Clarence and Verla Chapeskie.  Stacey will be sadly missed by her many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Predeceased by Deardrie Prescott (husband Mancel), Chapeau, Que. Step-grandfather to 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Son of the late Robert and Emily Farnel (nee Roberts). Brother of Irene Robinson (husband late Stanley), Beachburg; and Earl Farnel (wife Lorna), Beachburg. Predeceased by Melvin Farnel (wife late Irene), Marjory Newman (husband late Lloyd), Ivan Farnel (wife late Claire), and Doris Bell.

CHAPPELL, Winnifred (Winnie) Audrey
(Retired from the Provincial Court Office in Pembroke and was a long-time volunteer with the Pembroke Police Service) - Passed away after a courageous battle with cancer in hospital, Pembroke on Friday, October 27th, 2006 at the age of 77 years.

 
Winnie Chappell (nee Hastings) of 443 Moffat Street, Pembroke, and formerly of New Britain, Connecticut. Dearly loved mother and friend of Wendy Michael (husband Jason), Pembroke. Gramma to Sarah and Amy. Daughter of the late John and Bertha Hastings (nee Wells). Sister of Gladys Gillissie (husband late Ed), Kapuskasing; Robert (Bob) Hastings (wife Eleanor), Ottawa; and Bonnie Hastings (Richard Labrie), Ottawa. Predeceased by sister Edna Hastings. Survived by nieces and nephews. Winnie will be sadly missed by her dear friend Daphne Zander, Pembroke.

Grandma to Caeli, Alex, Mandy, Jessica, Ben, Abraham, Anna, Mark, Stephen, Drew, Amanda, Cassandra, and Christopher. Daughter of the late Rev Harold and Margaret Kippen (nee Kelly). Sister to twin Olive Rollins (Orville), Snake River; and Jack Kippen (Betty-Jeanne), Kingston. Predeceased by sister Joyce Kippen, Detroit, Mich.; and brother Harold Kippen (Winnifred), Ottawa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Nelson Kruschenske of Pembroke beloved husband of Enid (nee Price).  Dearly loved father of the late Jim Kruschenske (Bonnie); Mike Kruschenske (Gayle) and Anne Lasky, all of Pembroke.  Loving grandfather of Tami Draper (Randy), Arnprior and Jennifer Schooley (Matthew), Pembroke.  Step-grandfather to Sean, Sandy and Tracey.  Great-grandfather to Mariannah, Megan & Josiah.  Brother of Arnold Kruschenske, Pembroke.  Predeceased by sisters Beulah Nieman and Geneva Aucoin (Albert) and by brother Calvin Kruschenske.  Survived by many nieces & nephews.  Son of the late William & Matilda Kruschenske (nee Luloff).

TUPMAN, Eugene A.
In deep sadness, but with thanksgiving for his life, the family of Eugene Tupman announces his passing at Pembroke Regional Hospital on Thursday, October 12, 2006, in his 87th year.
 
 

Beloved husband of the late Crystal (Schizkoske), and dear father and grandfather to Jim and Beryl Tupman of Niagara-on-the-lake, Ont., and their sons, Lowell and Lionel, and of Mary and Lyle Thomas of Clearwater, B.C., and their son, Clayton.  "Gene" was the proprietor of Ottawa Valley Press for 47 years.  An active member of Pembroke Pentecostal Tabernacle, he enriched the orchestra with his trumpet and saxophone, and led the choir for many years.  Special thanks for kindness and compassionate care to Dr. Sutherland and Dr. Baxter, faithful friends, and the nurses of the hospital medical ward.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Mrs. Olga (Ollie) Sims.

She is survived by her loving husband Peter, her two daughters Terry (Greg) and Sandy (John) all of Red Deer, Alberta. She also leaves to mourn her grandson Christopher (Chelsy) of Red Deer and her brother John of Toronto. Ollie will also be remembered by her many close friends for her outgoing personality and warmth.

Passed away peacefully at the Pembroke Regional Hospital after a brief illness on Thursday, October 5th, 2006 at the age of 77 years.

 
Leslie Rees of Pembroke beloved husband of Emma Rees (nee Handke).  Dearly loved father of Sharon Rees, Pembroke; Gordon Rees (wife Barbara), Pembroke; and Daniel Rees, Ottawa.  Survived by several grandchildren.  Step-father of Elizabeth Lovely, Sudbury; Deborah Breske, Sudbury; Kenneth Breske (wife Germaine), Orillia; and Diana Breske, Pembroke.

Peacefully in hospital Pembroke, Sunday, October 1, 2006 in her 60th year after a long courageous battle with cancer.

She will be sorely missed by her loving children Jody Martens (Michael) and Gordon Tessier, both of Pembroke. Dearly loved sister of Gertrude Fryc (Jerry) Pembroke, Linda Burris (Reginald) Nova Scotia, Ira Anderson (Faye) Renfrew, Shirley Therrien (Claude), Eleanor Harten (Russell) BC. Dear aunt of several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Claude and Laura Anderson and by brothers Robert, Donald, John, Clayton, Mancel, Manford, David, Wayne and Bruce. There will be no visitation, cremation. Graveside Service at Holy Trinity Anglican Cemetery on Saturday, October 7th at 1:00 pm. (In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice).
